Frugal Fresh

I meant to get this to you all earlier today. But it did not happen. I apologize. Let me just get down to business. Yesterday, I got to work right after class. I did not have much to do but I had my work on about three different editing bays. Of course everyone was on campus last night. But I had to get it all done. There was no need to slack off now. 

I was hungry after all of that editing. So I made a quick trip to Walmart. I got a little Bertoli. I remember it being a tad more tastier that it was last night. It did do the job of filling my stomach though. I can not complain about that. If you did not know, Walmart does not sell alcohol after midnight. It was news to me also. 

In class we talked about pass students’ job contracts. e were seeing the success stories on paper and what we possibly can do. We just have to get to work and make it happen. Time can not come soon enough so I can make it happen. If the job is in Colorado Springs, then I will make it work. That is all I can do. 

Oh yeah, I almost forgot this little anecdote. I went to go do my stand up yesterday but my camera’s battery died. So i was stuck with about two hours before class. I had to catch up on local news. A transvestite died in jail because she tried to get buttock implants. The sad part was he/she was using Fix a Flat to enhance their hind parts. I can not make this up. 

P.S. I still got to study for this test though. 

I did not get much editing done today. I just did not have the motivation that I had yesterday at 4 in the morning. I got about another 4% done though. I do not even know if that 4% will change by tomorrow though. There is always changes. I got to record one of my stand ups again. Well, at least one of them has to be done again. There was nobody there to really motivate me either. That drink actually did not help the situation this time. Let us not talk about all my flaws though. There was some good today. I believe. 

I ate Denny’s for my first meal today. I had some blueberry pancakes with strawberries on top. I could have done with the whipped cream though. The waitress was not all attentive either. After I got my food, she disappeared into thick air. She pulled a Whodini act. Friends? How many of us have them. (Does anybody get that reference?) It always smells in that Denny’s too. They need some air fresheners or plug ins. It just does not smell all that pleasant. 

Big Brother was a good watch today as usual. At least I think so because I can not remember all of it right now. I do not think Frank was put up on the block. That is my favorite to win the entire competition. I know the old guy that Willie head butted was put on the block. He made that cheesy move to make the HOH breakfast. It was at 9 in the morning too. That is too early for breakfast. I rather be asked when I am already up do I want breakfast. Oh, Ian’s girlfriend was the other nominee. Ian is really a weird one too. I do not know how that strategy of always wanting to be a have not is working. He is squeaking by for now though. 

I am tired right now. I told my mother to mail me drugs. She said she was too old to do time. I need to call my father back. I take care of that tomorro. I do not know if I like my story idea anymore. But we will see how I like it by Thursday. That is when I will probably be able to get to it. I forgot the Colts have a new coach. I have no idea who he is. I am positive now that RG3 will have a better rookie season that Luck. 

P.S. Hoarding is just a fancy word for being trifling. 

They was cranking at 4 in the morning on my ride home. That live version of Chaka Khan and Frankie Beverly made all that work alright. I danced all the way home. Maxwell’s Fortunate was the lead off song. He changes his tone many times on that song. I am sure that is where Nicki Minaj got her inspiration. She just adds in the facial expressions too. Maxwell never went that far. 

A guy asked me to buy him a bite to eat this morning. That was out of the norm for me. I am used to people begging for solely money. So I bought him a honey bun, a bag of popcorn and an Arizona. I spent more money on him than myself. I only got a pint of mil for myself. It was freezing in that CVS too. 

I had Bourbon chicken, cabbage and hash brown casserole for lunch. The casserole taste more like mash potatoes to me. It as good all in all thought. I interviewed the co-owner about her business. Everyone has an interesting story to tell. They have an even interesting menu too. They have a little bit for everybody. 

I started editing about 8 PM. I would say I got 85% done one story and 7% done the other one. I hope to finish most if not all of it tomorrow. I need to get get back to my normal life. This was a fun run but I would not mind watching a movie a day again. I am sure you all were getting used to reading about that. That is the life I used to live. Young Roddy’s new mixtape was the background for the editing. Jet World Order is putting in work. 

P.S. My brain is all out of story ideas. 

Yawn! Okay, it might be the time to stop working. My body can not take it anymore. This Dom Kennedy Yellow Album has been in rotation for quite some time. My fingers just have been writing since about 8 PM really. There was a few breaks to eat, play Words with Friends and watch Common Law. But this blue pen has received a lot of work today. It suited me well. 

I did an interview with a pharmacist today for one of my videos. She was nice for doing the interview. A customer came in and said could she use the “lady lounge.” I thought there was some Magic Mike movement happening in the back of this pharmacy. She was just speaking about the women’s bathroom. I have never heard it described that way before. 

I went to Voodoo Dog for another interview and lunch. The owner has to busy to provide an interview but I did get my food. It was quite tasty as usual. They have a Dirty Dancing shirt on sale in there. It only cost you a cold million dollars. 

I went to Cool Cow Ice Cream for dessert. I was full but I needed that interview. The flavors they had was oatmeal cinnamon, strawberry sorbet and vanilla with cake batter. I ordered the strawberry sorbet. I have to watch my weight. The interview went short and sweet. I forgot to get the guy’s name. I am going have to go back there tomorrow to get that important information. The name is essential to journalism. I do not know what I was thinking. I loafed. 

P.S. Wednesday can not come soon enough. 

Alright, I am back at it. I woke up at around 11 to go back to editing. That is all I could think about. I thought about it the entire ride home last night. I was going crazy dreaming about editing. I threw on a jersey this morning and got right to it.

I was the until about 7 PM. I had intentions of picking up that laptop. But I could not leave my station Well, I was not chained to it physically like a slave. Mentally however, I was not moving. I did not eat until I finished it either. I  had a few jolly ranchers. Does that count? My shoulder started to hurt too. I realized it rained when I was leaving. I do no think it was severe because I did not hear it. I have HD ears. It rained hard enough to hurt my shoulder though.

I took a nap after all that good editing. I missed a little of Big Brother because of it. It was only the first 20 minutes though. That is where they try to persuade the viewers that somebody is going to make a power move. But it never happens and the obvious result happened. The thought is there but it fades away quite quickly. If anything great happen before the eviction though, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.

I could not do anymore editing since I have not shot my other packages yet. I just relaxed a little for the first time this week. I watched a lot of television. My internet access is a little limited right so I got to use what I can work with. My stomach is rumbling now I am going to go eat. I type this up in a minute. Pot roast, mash potatoes and green beans is for dinner. I forgot all about the rolls.

P.S. I did not know Olivia Munn was dating my mans from “Horrible Bosses.” Funny guys finish first.

I was going to flip a coin to post this yesterday or today. That is how I make my executive decisions. I was going to write it and then decide to take the little time to type it up or not. None that actually happened though. I am just giving you a hypothetical situation. Let me tell you what actually happened yesterday.

I took a shower after I got home at about 3 AM. No, I was not out drinking on the town. I was at the journalism school editing away. I would like to think I got a great start. I finished most of my A block. That is were the local news go for people not pursuing to be a great journalist. It was a little stressful but when is it not. I am used to it now.

The recording of the newscast was pretty good itself. That is what I was working on editing. I made a few stumbles but I felt a little more comfortable in the big chair. If I had a little flask I am sure I could have ad lib a little off script. But let us not get to ahead of ourselves. I should have perfected my own script writing better for my friend. But he did not do too bad. I know I seen a lot worse that day.

I did watch Big Brother before I did all of this editing. I watched a little Real World too. I only caught half of the episode though. If anyone else out there seen the rest of it, I would greatly appreciate getting a brief synopsis. I just know the guy that the tatted mohawk fellow got stood up by the promiscuous girl. And that they interviewed for an internship with seals.

P.S. I will providing another one of these in the next couple hours.

I am having computer troubles again. I hate laptop charger. They can not handle my rough lifestyle. They are too delicate for me. I have to have my laptop back up and running by this weekend. This is really wishful thinking. I do not know if it is going to really happen. Cross your fingers for me.

I did a lot of running around today. I went to the post office and then realized I did not have to be there. It was a complete a waste of time and gas that I did not have. I took another laptop to a repair shop. This one is still under warranty so it is all good. I was going to go to this littl Cuban cafe nearby. Bu they get more business than I thoght they did. I was by myself too. So I mosey (Is that how you spell that?) along.

I just ended up going to this food truck near my house. They had some homemade lemonade for me. It was cool. They actually had noher truck in the making behind the one that was open. The one that was currently serving food was more like a traler. The new up and coming one is like a traveling circus. The food was pretty good to. I am still mad about my Chubo’s truck closing though.

I had Monterrey chicken for dinner today. It was quite tasty. I think the smell o green peppers and onions made my head hurt. The announcement of Nelly opening a school just made my head hurt a little less though. I have no problem with celebrities opening school. I wish Jalen Rose’s school the best of luck. The name of Nelly’s school is E.I., Extreme Institute. Now that is hilarious. I do not know how Jimmy Fallon held his composure. I needed that.
