Journal Entry #387: Shorties
All of the journal entries can not be on time. I was done my article pretty early yesterday. Writing is getting more natural nowadays. It was probably because the article was about the NBA Draft. It took all of two seconds to get my thoughts out. I still do not know what happen with all the trades. I think Jason Richardson got traded. Oh wait, that was a Olympic hurdler. False alarm. Let us get...

Journal Entry #386: Home Sick
I did not take a nap today. I was too busy worrying about finishing my mini project. I still did not do it right but I can not do anything about it now. It is in the mailbox and off to the head honcho. I was mad the pool was closed today. It makes sense though because of the tropical storm/epidemic/depression that came through Florida. I hope it opens back up this weekend though. It is supposed to...

Journal Entry #385: Xerox
I got out of class early today. I was definitely hyped for that. It was about 12:30 and my first week of summer school was over already. I sound like a seven year old don’t I? It was a breeze though. I still had to stay on campus for a little while to go down to Foote-Hyler. For the people that are not familiar with Florida A&M, that is our monstrous administration building. I am...

Journal Entry #384: Zip It Up and Zip It Out
I went zip lining today. I hope I do not have to explain this to you like I did to my mother. If you want me to, I suggest you Google it instead. You young people should know what zip lining is. It is like being a grown orangutan with harnesses and ropes. It was quite fun and I am glad that the rained held up for us. They did not give refunds if it rained and that would have sucked the money out...

Journal Entry #383: Hank Williams
I was late for my first day of class today. It was not a good start for this tough six weeks. It happens though. It was raining hard and I was wearing shorts. That was the excuse I just came up with in my head. I did not need one for the professor though. I am a grown bearded man.
The class overall was fine. Yes, it was about five hours. That time went by fast when it was not straight lecture...

Journal Entry #382: Double Dare 2058
I did not eat until about 4:30 PM today. I went to Canopy Road Cafe. This is not the one that sole purpose really is to make great breakfast. This one serves beer, wine and 40 cent wings. I still ordered breakfast though. I had french toast, eggs and sausage. I should have had some hash browns too. I prefer the breakfast at the other one clearly.
It was 40 cent wings Sunday. I knew I was going...

Journal Entry #381: Drop Off
I am glad we did not loaf getting to the airport earlier today. The line for security was quite redunkulus. I had to turn on my IHeartRadio App. I was getting bored. Meek Mills surprisingly has the best verse on “Bag Of Money.” The TSA officer had the little Red Riding Hood grandma glasses on. I still had time to get a bite to eat before I got on the plane.
I had the window seat on...

Journal Entry #380: Walker, Texas Ranger
You ever ask yourself if you had enough sleep? Well, I just did and now I am writing this. I am waiting for Common Law to come on at 1 a.m. That is the real reason why I woke up. I probably go to sleep after it goes off. We will see what really happens. If I am still tweeting at 3 AM, then you know I do not succeed.
I woke up and made breakfast this morning. I had some good music playing in the...

Journal Entry #379: Tom & Jerry
I started packing my bag today. I just hope my bag is just not over the weight limit. I am not bringing that much extra stuff. I only bought some shoes and a couple of shirts since I been here. I still need to get my mumbo sauce though. That is the last task to cross off my list. Forget the rest of my list. I came. I saw. I partnered.
I left my wallet at my mother’s house today. I was...

Journal Entry #378: Facts of Life
Tree of Life is a bad movie. Brad Pitt should be ashamed of himself. It was about forty five minutes of awful National Geographic images. All of that could have been left on the cutting room floor. Them images just confused me even more. The movie has a great rating on Rotten Tomatoes but do not be fooled by those critics. There is nothing good about this film. Okay, I am lying. The children did a...

Journal Entry #377: Happy Father's Day
I went to the grocery store earlier today. That was the only time I was going out today. It was too hot and humid to be out there too long. I did have the lone opportunity to wear my tank top for once. I thought I never be able to wear it since I been here in the Washington D.C. area. The curse of wearing tank tops is all that sweat. it was obvious pleasant to someone’s eyes.
This young...

Journal Entry #376: Capone
My other mother did not go to work today. I guess she took Father’s day a little serious. The Hallmark holiday is not even for her. She is the farthest away from a father that she can be. She does not have any kids either aside from me. I am just adopted by her but there is no papers. That is just what Hennessy and a good meal would do to you. When I left there today, she was on Facebook.

Journal Entry #375: Honeysuckle
Let me write this up right quick. I did not wake up extra early like my father wanted so he could have breakfast in bed. He did mention it last night in passing. But I am still having a little trouble sleeping so he got over it. I woke up to the Amazing Spiderman today at about noon instead. I did end up making breakfast though at 2 PM. He did not want any though so it was just a single serving...

Journal Entry #374: Pidgeotto
I did not make breakfast today but I did head out on the porch. I watched a little Pokemon before I headed out there. They had a little battle marathon. I tried to act like I was still interested. The only Pokemon I recognized was Pikachu. Brock must have been fired or married some girl. He was not a part of the episodes I seen. I listened to a little Tabi Bonney on the porch. It was a good...

Journal Entry #373: Serenity Prayer
I woke up around noon today. I was going to write 11 but that would be lying a little bit. I went straight to the porch with my laptop after I woke up. I had some writing to do. I stayed out there for at least two and half hours. I was not going to move until I got it down. It was quite serene out there. (I wrote quite serenity on my paper. I am an idiot.)
My “other” mother was home....

Journal Entry #372: Decompose
That is why I love my other mother. She could not go to sleep until she knew I got home safely. That is pretty much a given. It was before ten but it was the little effort she showed. It mattered to me. She really cares about a bearded fellow such as myself. She greeted me at my car before I could even get to the door. I am really starting from the end of my day though.
I went to happy hour out...
